Office and Gate Hours of Operation
- The office and gates are open Sunday through Friday 9am to 4pm.
- The office and gates are closed every Saturday.
- The office is closed on some federal and religious holidays.
Due to current weather conditions, and in accordance with the National Weather Service, Mount Ararat Cemetery will be closed Monday, February 23rd. Conditions will be dangerous, so please, DO NOT RISK TRAVEL TO THE CEMETERY. The Cemetery will re-open sometime on Tuesday, February 24th. Please check back with us for updates. -Stay safe.
About Mount Ararat Cemetery
Mount Ararat's founders sought to create a true alternative to the conventional Jewish cemetery. There are no burial societies at Mount Ararat only private family plots. Only one upright family monument is permitted on each plot with the family name(s) engraved thereon. The memorial for each grave is made of granite and is set flush with the ground. There are no plantings permitted on the graves only grass, which is mowed by the cemetery staff at no charge to the families. There are no annual grave care bills at Mount Ararat.
